Flea identification: Adult fleas are dark in color have three pairs of legs and measure about 1/8 inch long. Fleas are vertically flat like a fish and can move easily through the hair of a host. Flea eggs are small and white. Life cycle: Female fleas lay eggs loosely in the host's hair (usually dog or cat). The eggs drop off and hatch into tiny, hairy, worm-like larvae. The larvae is usually found where the animal sleeps, along baseboards, in carpet and furniture. Larvae pupate and new adults emerge. The new adult seeks a host immediately and must fed on blood to survive and produce eggs. Health & property concerns: They will bite humans, especially when they cannot find their host or if they become numerous. Their bite will leave a small red irritated area. Control:

Life cycle: 4 months to a year. After feeding on a host for 10 days, the female will drop to the ground and lay 800 or more eggs, after this she dies. Health & property concerns: They inflict a painful bite, and carry Lyme disease which can cause joint problems. Control:

Close and lock all windows. Cover all delicate electronics (computers, stereos, etc.), because a light fogging will be applied for immediate knockdown. Outdoors pick up all children's and pet toys, along with bowls and water dishes. Please treat your pets for fleas at time of service. You will need to vacate the premises for at least two hours. Upon returning, air out the building for at least 30 minutes. What
to expect after service: After the service,
do not shampoo the carpets for one month.
Vacuuming is very important the vibration and heat from the vacuum
speeds up the egg hatching process. The more you vacuum the faster the
problem will be solved. Be patient, as the process could take up to one
month. Working together we can eliminate the problem.
We highly recommend a monthly or bi-monthly program
